What is a heat pump?

A heat pump is a system in your home that extracts heat from one place and transfers it to another. Two examples of this technology include refrigerators and air conditioners. Unlike an air conditioner, a heat pump cycle is reversible meaning it provides heat in the winter and cooling in the summer.
